music playing wirelessly

Ok so taking a look at the manual, it looks like it is not possible to connect your phone to play music wirelessly on a 2012 bose with no navigation. Please let me know if there is a way.

Supposing there is not...something strange has happened for the second time, and now I'm getting curious as to what is going on. The other day, while walking to my car I was playing music out of my phone and once I got into the car and started it up, the music automatically started coming out of the speakers and I didn't even plug it into the aux cable yet. This is the second time this has happened to me...

A far as I'm aware (and I could be wrong), the stock bose stereo on the 2012 touring doesn't have the capability to play music wirelessly. I can answer phone calls wireless, but have never been able to get it to work with music unless im plugged into the aux cable. So I'm not sure how this is happening? Is coming into the car with the music already on tricking the car into thinking its on a phone call or something? I tried to replicate this and it didn't work.... Has anyone every had this happen to them, and figured out how to replicate this?

I don't think the bose w/o nav can stream audio ... so maybe you are crazy? :icon17:

No, it cannot. You're in the same boat I am. Upgrading that USELESS outdated six disc changer for a after-market double din. This is the one I'm looking at currently.

Well, it looks like I'm the minority here. If it happens again, I guess I'll have to take a video or something because it has definitely happened twice. I'm just so curious now because I know its possible, just not sure how.

I thought about upgrading but decided I can just deal with the aux cord. But once it started working wirelessly after know that it shouldn't be able to...that sparked my curiosity.

The only thing I could think of would be that the car is mistaking the audio for a Bluetooth phone call...but the Bluetooth wasn't even hooked up!

You could use a blue tooth receiver in the aux port that will allow you to listen to music wirelessly via your phone or ipod (w/ blue tooth).

Something like this maybe

Wireless Music

I have 2016 with Bose and I called Nissan about wireless music streaming.

It is not available with iPhone 7.

Plug and play bro!!:rofl2:

Your crazy, sorry but we love you anyway. I got so sick of the bootleg auxiliary cord, I just broke down and got a double din Kenwood navigation. Love it! Anything is an upgrade to the hideous crap they put in my Z.

Next time it happens I'm going to video tape it for proof!! Until then....I'm crazy :icon14:

I thought about upgrading, but I'm not very good with audio installation, I'll likely mess something up. Enjoy the new setup!!
