That looks really good.

[QUOTE=SP44;379502]I realized that I have been the definition of a slacker by not keeping everyone updated; apologies. Also the pics were taken with my blackberry so sorry if they are not the best.

Pretty basic install: PIONEER 4100 DVD, RF STAGE 2 SUBS, POWER SERIES PUNCH AMP 600.2, RF WIRING, ZENCLOSURES SUB BOX, CUSTOM SWITCHES AND IPOD HOOKUP. ALSO 5% TINT ALL AROUND

The amp mount is awesome (imo)!!! when i went to pick it up after the install, all the techs were really impressed with the amp rack. It works the same as the screw down cap as before and keeps the spare in place. No clearance issues, no heating problems, anything!

Any questions please let me know, hope you enjoy!

Really looks like a nice setup! What are you using for the front speakers? Also, are you happy with the Pioneer head unit? Any reliability problems??

hey wicked,

thanks for the q's. I'm just running stock front speakers for now, and after the amp and head unit was installed they sounded a lot better than before but i know they wont last the way i push my stereo, so once theyre upgraded ill post but that'll be a couple months into the future.

as far as the pioneer head unit, i really like it and so far (fingers crossed) not one problem. it has an option for the screen color, button color, background, everything. im real particular about all the colors and lights matching up and this did awesome. Of course it is not GPS/NAV capable but still an awesome head unit and after searching the internet I found it for $299 and came with the ipod connector cord that i had them run into the center arm rest console.

this is my first PIONEER head unit, and i can happily say im very please with the entire setup. All music sounds awesome, bass hits crisp and hard.the only problem i can say i had was after the install, the airbag light came on and after looking on this forum it was fixed in minutes... and the black switch next to the bass knob is to activate the DVD bypass.

Very nice and clean install, thanks to CS Motorsports in Gastonia, NC for the install, wonderful job and highly recommended.

Thanks SP. I’m looking to buy a head unit for my 370Z with the latest technology and the newest Pioneer Avic series has the features I’m looking for. When you read that someone has problems with Pioneer head units, it’s important to have an established evaluation. Thanks for your input!

Nice job of utilizing the space in your spare tire.

Beautiful work on the mount. To remove the spare tire I am assuming you would have to unhook the wires and spin the mount out of place. Or does the top of the mount swivel on the screw in post at all?

SP44 01-31-2010 10:07 PM

Unfortunately I would have to disconecct the the wires to the amp, then the amp rack spins out like the orginal screw down cap that held the spare down from the factory, and also the big styrofoam cone shaped spacer is also eleminated.
