Backup Camera on 370Z

Does factory NAV have backup camera? I believe the answer is NO but just want to confirm. Thanks

Answer is NO. The Fairlady Z34 in Japan has an optional camera attachment but it's not offerered in US market.

would u have to go aftermarket navi all together or is it possible to install your own back up camera to the oem navigation?

I took mine into a custom shop today to get my windows tinted and asked them that same question. They do a lot of custom audio/video work and said that anything is possible. They are going to look into it and let me know.

I'll post if I get any more info ;)

If there's one for the Japanese model, I'm sure you can set that up for the stock one here in the states. You'll have to see if you can buy that camera JDM.

I'm thinking you might need a firmware update to get the Nissan piece to work, that is if Nissan wishes to ever offer it as an option.

I'm sure a custom audio/video shop will be able to hook up video-in signal while in reverse = $$$.

That camera looks awkward, and it looks tempting for people to pull on it. Any suggestions for something stealthy or pleasing?

I am going to get one for sure....

I was thinking a clear or slightly smoked lens to replace the euro fog light and hide it behind there.

That's a great idea! My main concern is how to integrate the camera into factory NAV. Hopefully we will see some adapter /module to allow for this. Also perhaps a hack to allow video while driving.

That camera looks as if it really on good for backing up and parking so you dont back into anything. I think one in the rear fog light pointing up would be ideal to help with the blindspots
