Do you still have the ebay user name of the seller that you bought it from? I would love to have one for my Z also.
Thanks

is yours a 2010? my installer could not get mine to work automatically with the NavTV system...apparently the 2010 Navs are completely different, it's now digital and those NavTV units are not compatible...so he was only able to put a switch in to disconnect the parking brake/VSS and plug the camera directly into the AV Aux jack in the armrest cubby

i have my camera mounted exactly where yours is at...at first he mounted a square one above the license plate (like the JDM version) but it stuck out way too much so i had him order the flush mount cam...for those that want to mount it there, you will need one that is less than 1-7/8" long or it won't fit because it's very shallow back there and will hit the metal bracing if any longer

Here is a link to his ebay ad. Very good guy and fast shipping. Like I said earlier the shop that put mine in said it was easy and very good instructions. The add says GTR but before I bought it I message him and asked if it would work and of course it did. So what was in the package as far as hardware from that ebay auction? Is it more than just a camera? Because there seems to be 3rd party cameras that look identical for as little as $49.99 shipped. Am I missing something or is it the same exact thing?

Look at this web site. Car Kit Company. They have exactly what you need. Unfortunately the Owner, Brian Langley is moving his business to the UK. He was located in New JERSEY.
I'm right in the middle of trying to get the harness from them.

They are out of stock for the harness you need that will go behind your head unit. They offer just the harness and you buy your own camera $125.00, or you can get the whole kit with camera and harness already for installer $289.00. I had one in my Z already and it worked great, but I uninstalled it so I can put Apple CarPlay in my Z with provisions for backup camera. Well, Apple CarPlay worked their backup camera connections did not. I'm trying to get another from Carkit company, hopefully soon but it's slow going since he moved to the UK.

How did you add CarPlay? I’ve had a backup camera installed for 12 years now.

Holy thread revival.

To answer the OP's question, I guess it depends on the year. My '13 with OEM nav screen shows the backup camera view.

my 2020 sports touring has the camera in the nav screen with predictive lines as well as my rear view mirror has the camera with solid lines. I added nifty city carplay as well.

You have the backup view showing in 2 places? From the factory?

I also have the sport/touring/nav package, but only see the camera view on the nav screen.
