Metra Wire Harness for 2016 with Bose
 

So I purchased the AVH-4200NEX today and got the Metra 70-7552 wire harness as well. I just saw a thread where they suggest the 70-7553 harness. is there any difference? I mean i have time as i wait for the metro dash kit to come in

The 70-7552 harness is designed to wire into the amplified outputs from the head unit. The 70-7553 uses the rca low level outputs from the head unit. The bose system has its own amplifiers that are designed to take low level input. The 7552 will work but you will have very little control over the volume. It will get old very quickly. It's best to get the 7553 for the best sounding finished product.

appreciate the feedback. i ordered the 7553 just in case and will be here the same day as the micro bypass and dash kit so i will be returning the 7552
