Radar detector mounting and wiring?
I have V1. Where do you guys mount it on windshield and how did you guys hardware it? If I can get some pics it would be awesome.

Your best bet would be to just come out and ask without searching. Oh wait, you did that.

Under the mirror is best. If you have a powered mirror, Blendmount and MirrorTap is the way to go.

I used the Blendmount for mounting, but like the Invisicord for wiring from the mirror.

i use the blend mount but i never park my Z anywhere besides my garage.. im not sure how well dat invisicord wire is going to stay put if unplugging the cord on/off on a daily basis while parked at work or wherever if ur ride is a dd.

Check out Radar Detector & Laser Jammer Forum. Lots of good info there. I mount my Passport Max center and down low on the windshield. I don't like mounting it high up next to the mirror as it tends to block my view. From what I've read, mounting high is better for radar detection while mounting low benefits lidar detection but unless you're running a jammer, it's doubtful you will be able to slow down enough within that 1-2 sec lidar detection window to be of any use.

If you put your RD installed too high, then you might miss laser alerts.
