2013 Bose HU no nav

2013 Bose HU no nav
I have BT for calls but not media.

I see I can buy a blue tooth aux plug in for this unit. My concern want is to NOT have the aux cable always hanging out. Is there an Aux in on the back side of this unit?
<edit>I now see the answer is no<edit>

So my main question is how do I enable BT media (not phone calls. That is working).

In very plain English what is the 'gotcha' that some people were suggesting exists when changing head unit but keeping existing Bose speakers. What is difference between having Bose vs something else? I saw something on another post about wiring? When I tired to say something to at the car audio place the my looked at me crosseyed and said speakers are speakers.

Please start your own thread so this one stays clean, sorry no offense.

Sorry, I thought I was in my earlier thread - have no idea how this happened! Damn cell phones.

I always figured the bose came with bluetooth... no? Do you have to have nav for that?

I think in the late models (16+) even the base comes with bluetooth.

I do not believe the 13 without nav have BT for MEDIA (not calls). I could be wrong if somebody would confirm for the 2013 NISMO without nav..

My 2010 40th does not have NAV with the Bose, yet it does have Bluetooth...maybe there is a difference between the different level radios????

It does have bluetooth, but not for streaming audio. There is no way to stream audio via bluetooth that I am aware of.

Damn, ok I appreciate it. Guess I get to run an aux in cable and be messy.

No interest in upgrading the headunit?

You can upgrade the HU and still retain the rest of the BOSE system (amp, speakers, sub, etc)

Nope for the money I would sink it into suspension, exhaust, engine but I get why you are asking.
