I can understand wanting an OEM look. It does look nice. For me the factory NAV, even the newer ones, wasn't cutting it for me anymore functionality. Also I am unwilling to pay for map updates anymore. I really want Apple Carplay and better functionality between the HU and my phone in general. For now I'm just upgrading my HU. I scored a new Alpine iLX-007 for $370  that I will be installing where the factory NAV screen goes later this summer.

Nice can you please post a picture with your new Head unit i just want to see the look on the Z interior

As stated in my previous post, I haven't done it yet. I'm away on business and won't have time to attempt the install until late June/early July.

What I meant about the screen is that the 2009 screen vs the 2011 screen is horrible. The 2011 has way better graphics compared with the 09 one.
I honestly keep the navigation because I like the way it looks and you have temperature display and other stuff right there. I don't really use the Navi as the car is just the toy and don't take her in long trip or places where I don't know how to get there haha. She sees around 4000 kms per year... maybe. Because of this, as long as I can stream music from my phone I'm ok.
It totally depends on what anybody needs and wants for their car.
