What are these inputs?

Hey guys, in my centre console I have 3 coloured inputs(red, while, yellow). I know red and white are for audio but what is the yellow one for?

Thanks!

Sounds like standard composite RCA cable inputs. Assuming that what they are, the yellow connection is for video.

Sounds like an aftermarket install. If the previous owner left all the components and they are still hooked up, then possibly. Chances are it's just leftover parts they didn't bother to remove and is disconnected.

Those are indeed basic component connections for audio and video, the output though who knows

Perhaps the yellow has something to do with a backup camera?

Not with the 09s.
No backup camera option for the 09s.

:iagree: (09 w/NAV owner )

Don't forget the AUX Video only works with the car stationary and the hand brake on. :ugh2:

A quick Google search popped up many micro usb to rca (video(Y)+audio(R/W)) cables. How ever the screen on the stock NAV system will only display the AUX video when stationary and with the hand brake on. I'm not %100 sure if disabling the hand brake sensor will let you maintain the video but disabling the factory sensor is not a good idea. If you want to display video on the factory NAV screen for 09s the best way to go is NAVTOOL. It will add 2 video inputs that can be used while the car is moving. Also one input can be used for a backup camera. Another option is deleting the factory NAV system and putting in an after market stereo system. http://www.the370z.com/diy-section-d...onversion.html The 09 NAV system is horrible and the map updates so ridiculously priced you can get a decent head unit for the price of a map update. That’s why I’m deleting my NAV system later this year.
