Thinking of getting a Nismo 370z

Im thinking of gettin a nismo 370z. I wanted to know if navigation was optional with this line of car. I didnt see it as an option o Nissans web site.

Thanks.

Dont believe so. Going to have to buy a Garmin with the suction cup thingy.

The only options available to the Nismo are the floor/trunk carpets and illuminated kick plates. Navigation is only available to the Touring model.

I have a Nismo and recently had a 7 inch double-din, touch-screen head unit installed with built in navigation, dvd and bluetooth.

Check out the audio/video section of the forums for more information regarding both the navi unit in the Touring model and aftermarket options.

The stereo is a Base equivalent double-din CD player. It has an 1/8" stereo aux input on the front of it and that's it. Only front speakers as well. It does not have a CD changer and will not play MP3 CDs.

I'll be getting the AVICZ110BT or equivalent once I get a little extra scratch. I'll also be adding a back-up camera, Sirius, an iPod adapter, and possibly a HD Radio tuner. Bluetooth is already built in. I will of course be getting a steering wheel control interface, and need to look into getting a different set of controls for my car so I have the phone interface as well.

Great choice on the AVIC-Z…………..you will not be disappointed. The Kenwood DNX9140 is also a good unit, but I really like having the SD card slot that’s on the Pioneer. I also enjoy the HD radio and highly recommend it.

My only debate with the 9140 was the lag between hitting a button and the response time. However the firmware upgrade from what I have heard has fixed this.

I went the way Vipor mentioned. Same unit, works great. Has Nav, plays DVDs, bluetooth and voice controls. I left the stock speakers in my Nismo for now and they dont sound that bad. BUT, be aware that even though there is a grill in the back panels for speakers, if you pull the rear panel behind each seat and look, no holes for the speakers!! Yikes they got to be cut out. The car is so small and you should really be driving the heck out of it and listening to the motor so the stock speakers aint that bad. Also thast head unit has a place for a rear view camera which is a good idea!!

how much do you guys pay for insurance?

i just got my nismo last week, so the insurance company has not told me what the rate will be.

mine is roughly 85$/mo for full coverage with extra coverage (at least double minimum), very low deductibles, rental coverage/reimbursement, accident forgiveness, etc.

i have USAA, i'm 27, live in a good area, have a good record and good credit.
