Navigation - 2016 Maps Update X9... Resell?
 

I ordered and have installed the 2016 Maps (X9) update on my 2010 370Z just last week... for the Navigation. To order it I had to provide my radio number and they sent an activation code along with the 5 disk update package (you have to enter in the activation code into the Nav system during the update process).

My question is... does anyone know if this package (w/activation code) is a "one and done" type of deal or can I resell this at a discount since I no longer have use for it taking up space here?

I think with shipping and tax or whatever it was ~$110.

Id be willing to bet its a once and done deal.

I would say this is one time deal, since you have provided Nissan your Unit ID for your Navi. Which I would assumed they incorporate your Unit ID on the CD as a KEY.

I checked with Nissan and was told it is a once and done. I asked as I own 2 Nissans with nav and was inquiring if I only needed to order 1 update.

I don't think they customized any of the DVDs for the install so if it's a one and done, it was already designed into the firmware of the Nav system to begin with. I'm leaning towards one and done... would be nice if there was someone in my neighborhood I could try the update on... if it worked, then I could just sell it and get a little of my money back out.

Ill try it on my 10!
