This would allow the replacing of the factory Nav system with an aftermarket Double DIN, you just would loose the function of seeing how cold the air is. No need to install above the factory one. It is replacable

I think someone has already tried this twice and failed. I would like to see this done if it can be. From the ones I have had to pull out to integrate aftermarket speakers in, the connector is different.
