Tight Thread: Bose Subwoofer Enclosure Upgrade
This thread is only for those who seek to utilize the OEM Bose subwoofer enclosure.
Let's assume the audience is 370z owners who are interested in taking a stock Bose 370x subwoofer enclosure and performing a simple speeker upgrade to the enclosure. Further, let's assume the owner will choose or consult a local audio upgrade shop to identify an appropriate amp for the subwoofer. For those with audio upgrade experience, what speeaker specifications would you reccomend for the OEM Bose enclosure? |
Knowing the enclosure volume would help. Having never laid hands or eyes on one, I know that it is plastic, and will likely resonate pretty hard with any kind of real power going into it. A local shop will most likely tell you to scrap it and build you a custom one.

Yep I agree with Ron also being that the stock woofer size is 2 X 3 inch speakers, no sub is going to fit. With some cutting you might get something else to fit but there is a lot of curves in that box.

http://www.the370z.com/members/the-w...-75-inches.jpg The Bose system is really a joke, who ever heard of 3 or 4" subs. Those are the size of my headphones. If you want to save space, keep your spare, and have a reasonable sub. Wicked CAS has a enclosure that can fit a 13" pancake sub. |
