Can't get USB to work.
When I plug in the USB drive the radio says check device. I used this thumb drive in my old car and it worked fine. I tried hooking up my android phone and got the same error message. Anyone have any ideas why it is doing this? This is the first time I tried the USB in this car. I tried pushing the USB and radio on and off a few times but nothing. Thanks

If nobody comes up with a solution, I'd try reformatting using FAT32.
Edit: Check the Owner's Manual to see what they recommend. FAT32 is a common format but may not be what you need. |
I don't believe Android allows you to listen to music through USB. Android user myself and couldn't play my music through the USB port

Thanks for the replies. I did reformat the drive and checked for FAT32 which the manual list. All the files are WMA which the manual says are acceptable. Does anyone use a thumb drive with their OEM stereo that could offer some tips?

You can not listen to music through your android through the usb port. If you want to do this go with an aftermarket head unit.
