Thanks guys. Been doing more research on Soundstream the last few days and felt the same way - all the awards they've won have been really old ones. there are just so many choices out there it's starting to feel a little overwhelming.
I think I'm just going to say "F-it" and splurge on a boston acoustics gt-2300. Way out of my original price range but I've found them online for $550. - 300 watts RMS x 2 at 4 ohms (500 watts RMS x 2 at 2 ohms) - 1-ohm stable in stereo mode (700 watts RMS at 1 ohm) Really high reviews for SQ, plus keeps everything consistent with the BA G5 10-44 subs I have. Means waiting another 2 weeks to purchase but should give me really nice, clean power and sound. |
