What is this blue wire for?
 

I have this adapter for my antenna. For what is the blue wire used?

One of the in-house stereo gurus should have an answer before very long. Subbed to find out what the answer is. I'd guess it's power to an antenna amp but not at all sure.

I was thinking maybe that was used if the car had a power antenna.

Naw the stock radio pushes power to the antenna by way of design... Aftermarket u always have to wire it to the blue wire on the harness... Should be a blue wire that says antenna

Yeah, as in the antenna/amp turn on. I've always used that for amps and to raise power antennas. I've never had a car that required power just for the antenna.
