When you installed the head unit, did you use the factory mount?

Well, now you've got me nervous. I have everything ready to do my own HU install this weekend...except a dash kit.
After reading this thread: http://www.the370z.com/audio-video/7...ailable-3.html I didn't think I'd need one, and could just reuse the factory one. But your experience says otherwise, so now I'm not so sure. |

Didn't mean to highjack your thread BoneZ. Looking forward to your next photos. |
I'm wiring like a fool as we speak.

We have sound!
Now the months of tweaking can commence, but that's the relaxing part. http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/09...8b1ad12895.jpg The amp has its home. I even found a convenient spot for the bass level knob, which I don't really want anyway. http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/09...7f076b2db9.jpg I used a hole saw to cut a couple holes in the foam to pass the wires though. I glued in some copper pipes to trim it out, make it look better than just holes. http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/09...eaa084d82e.jpg I'm happy with the sound. Still a bunch of tweaking to do, but I'm calling it a success. That sub is droppin' LOW! My chief audio engineer evaluated the system and gave me his approval. http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/09...9eb353bf4a.jpg |
Congrats, Jim! Well done!

Spent lunch and my breaks switching crossover points and playing with levels. I got it dialed in close-ish.

After consideration, I am going to make my final cover and stainless steel grill this weekend.

Just one thing I am wanting to ask do you think you able to fit an 4inch tweeter in?? . Its a bullet Tweeter. |

That bass level control will come in handy at times, my front 6&1/4s seem to be working too hard to try and stay up with the rear sub

I like the front dash setup they would provide extra imaging in addition to my A pillar tweeters

I need to get back on it. Weather has been crappy.

After all these months, I finally got around to the upholstery on the cover panel.

Less branding makes me happy. I think I'm going to put the Z logo in the center.
