iPod connection to AV inputs
Tried to connect my iPod nano 4th generation to the 370Z AV connectors in the armrest.
I can hear music but i can not see any images... I set the iPod to TV-out (ntsc) with no results... Cable is Apple original. Any suggestions? :ugh2: Thanks bye! |
Make sure your watching a movie or something on your ipod, make sure that your tv out is on in setting in the ipod, make sure your in park with the parking brake up.

I was watching a movie and TV out was set on the iPod. Parking brake was not up... but my 370Z is automatic and it was in P position... Bye! |
You still need to put the parking brake up form what I understand.

arrrr
yes u need to have the parking brake up for videos to work!
IS there anyway around this however?? Anyone know where this godforsaken cable is attached and how do we remove it!!!?! |
People including myself are trying to figure that one out. There was how to do this bypass in an infinity but as someone I have been working with found out that the z's wire colors are different from the ones in the infinity. Someone will have the bypass soon.

So when someone finds out where the heck it is can they let me know!? Iv bought a mini power inverter ($50) and a mini HDMI/USB/SD Card reader ($60) to play videos off my 8gb usb stick. fits in the middle box compartment beautifully! :) Problem is i can only watch it while the handbrakes on pffft lame :P hahaha |
LOL not supposed to watch anything while driving anyway.

Its an australian website with little daily deals... one 'catch' every day for 24 hrs... im sure u could find something like it in shops though. This is what i bought HDMI Mini Media Centre-Catchoftheday.com.au and a small (cheap) inverter to run it. But its kinda pointless if you cant watch it while ur driving! I have a program that rips ur DVD's onto ur Ipod too now so I have been doing that instead but still same problem!! Havent got ipod connectors yet but im assuming they will plug into the stock AV ports just fine? Program is called DVDFab 6 |
Thanks. That pointed me in the right direction. I think I may have found something that will work.
Mini HDMI USB HDD Media Player SD MP3 RMVB YPbPr BF1 - eBay (item 110454288314 end time Dec-05-09 16:13:25 PST) Guess I'll give it a try. I have a few Blu-ray digital copies on my I-pod, but they're close to 3 gigs each. My 8 gig I-pod is getting filled up pretty fast. Flash drives are cheap and I have few extras already. Hopefully there will be a solution soon to make it work while the e-brake handle is down. |
