I think I may have found something that will work. Mini HDMI USB HDD Media Player SD MP3 RMVB YPbPr BF1 - eBay (item 110454288314 end time Dec-05-09 16:13:25 PST) Guess I'll give it a try. I have a few Blu-ray digital copies on my I-pod, but they're close to 3 gigs each. My 8 gig I-pod is getting filled up pretty fast. Flash drives are cheap and I have few extras already. Hopefully there will be a solution soon to make it work while the e-brake handle is down.
