No iPhone audio via USB(2015 370z)
 

Hey guys,

I hooked my iPhone up to my Z via the usb port in the center console. The phone charges and is recognized by the system. However, when I go to play music though the sound system via the USB port, no audio comes out even though the radio shows that the song is playing. Any ideas? I haven't tried the aux input.

I use the auxiliary input on my Z. No USB here on the 2011 model.

Mine happens to do the same thing. I have an aftermarket kenwood headunit/nav, but when I use the usb connection installed in the cubby up top, it won't play music through usb->lightning adapter on the iPhone 6. It will, however, play music through a flash drive. The 30-pin connector to my iPod works fine when plugged into USB though, so it's definitely a phone thing...

can u stream via BT? i thought the base HU had BT now.. :confused:

Same - I have a 2012 and the Aux port does everything I need.

No you will have to install an aftermarket head unit. :tup:

Well that's lame. Thanks for the confirmations. I think I'll buy an aux cable.

Get the gold tips, I tried a couple chrome tips before it sounded terrible!
