Aftermarket HU with Bose Sub
I need help. I have the touring sport model and replaced the HU because I wanted a touch screen. I did not know this would make my sub useless. I love how the system sounded stock with the boss setup so I don't want to replace the speakers or sub. Is there any way I can get the sub to work with the new system? I have the pioneer sph-100da. Someone please help!!!

Try the search. I'm sure there's a thread on it.

I tried but nothing really that helps

The sub will continue to work after swapping out the head unit. make sure your new head unit has at lese 2 sets of pre outs and is at least 4volt

The installer said I can only make it work with a new amp

I believe the HU does have two pre outs. Maybe he hooked it up wrong?

he needed to use metra harness # 70-7553, and plug into your pre-outs.

Yea that's what I first did. I ordered the new harness mentioned above. The previous owner provided a harness but he had it installed on a base so I'm assuming it was a different harness. I'll know tomorrow after it comes in. The backup camera also just stopped working. Not sure why so I gotta get the checked out too. I kind of regret being cheap and getting this used HU. It's giving me so many issues and it's pretty outdated at this point. Lesson learned I guess Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I'm in the same boat as you OP - probably will be getting an upgraded HU later this year - was looking at some with the android auto options, those looked cool! |
