Tesla styled screen setup

In for updates. I custom installed an Android tablet in my Frontier and been plotting on it for my Z. This will save me all that trouble. Hope it turns out and is a decent value once complete.

#// Hey all its been a while since there has been anything to show, but here it is. After a lot of trial and error with out 3D print we decided that the design needed more work. So we have spent the last month at the drawing board trying to perfect the design. We decided to go with an inset dash as some suggested earlier after working with our monitor vendor on sizing. We will be looking at Shapeways for another print very soonl

Hahaha thanks for the props guys, I'll be ordering another monitor to test on Wednesday. And I have been speaking with a rep with GIGABYTE. They are sending me a motherboard to test as a possible hardware base to build from! I should be ready in a couple of weeks for a new print also. I'm hoping I can have something ready for Zdayz this year! Fingers crossed!!!

Nice job. Have you decided what material to use and what process you will use for the final finish to get good match?

Thanks very much! I have been looking into injection molding as a final finish, with an Alcantara leather wrapping to match the factory look. As well as a limited carbon fiber to see how well it may sell.

Definitely better than the first prototype. I love it. I like this one better because it does not have the hump tall upper part. Awesome. What is next?

Yes, this one definitely looks better than the first one. I'm definitely looking forward to see the final product. I'm sure it will be pretty cool and will look amazing.

Yes there are! I have been out of town for business quite a bit lately, but I received confirmation from my vendor that the monitor has shipped! So as soon as it arrives I can finalize all of the mounting points for the monitor in the dash and get it re-printed! The goal is to have something to show off for ZDayz next month. So if anyone is able to make it out to the Tail of the Dragon come check out what I've got!!
