Hahaha no lie I already regret it! That's why as I make the bondo changes I am updating my model for future 3d reprints.

Next time use less of it. Better to do multiple small application and sand than having to sand a glob.

Buy plenty of sand paperwork and a palm sander. For the circle areas. Find something round and as close to size as possible. Roll the sandpaper around it and sand the hole. The hole will come out a lot better that way.

Yeah I had too many low spots and I tried to fill them in. Instead of going back to the drawing board. Which is what I decided to do last night. Too many problems to try to fix with body filler. Unfortunately it was something I had to do, sometimes you just have to see it in person to see what needs to be fixed. Well... back to modeling...

Yes there are, as a few people mentioned I found too many areas of concern on this print. Including the biggest problem was the scale factor was too large. As well as a few really low spots on the part (too low for body filler). If I was to try and flex it into place the bondo would crack.

So I had to take a very frusterated step back and find out what happened. After taking some time to figure out where the scale factor went wrong and adjusting some more blemish areas I will be ready to print again. I have taken into consideration the concern of a few of you about the top of the dash being too high. So I am trying to hold the shape of the original dash with this design and inset the monitor a little bit more. I will keep you all updated with images as work progresses.

I think you can get ahead of Braniac by getting the product done first but also by developing good quality parts just the way you are doing it so far.
Keep it up and keep us updated because one way or another I will be getting something like this eventually

Hey thanks for the support CanadianSteel! That is definitely my approach is to not settle for less than great quality. It is what led me to scrap the first dash attempt and begin fresh. I know I haven't updated here for a while. I just wanted to make sure that I had something worth showing first. Which I am nearing that point now, so it shouldn't be long before I am ready to show progress. Be on the lookout and thanks again for everyone's support so far!

Don't be afraid of a bit of competition, just offer something cool that they're not offering, and you can steal all of their customers.
