How do I remove the cubby door ?

Im getting a nexus 7 tablet for the cubby area .I see how to remove the door but that leaves the ac vents without a good way to reinstall/reattach l

Im getting a nexus 7 tablet for the cubby area .I see how to remove the door but that leaves the ac vents without a good way to reinstall/reattach l them .
