Default Cant get ***ing tweeter covers off!

I just installed a set of DLS component speakers .When it came time to disconnect the factory tweeters I could not remove the covers . I have the correct plastic tools but the ****ing covers refused to move . I then thought Id disc the tweeter wire so I looked in the service manual under AV and it shows the wire but does not give a color or location of the splice. Can anyone help me out?

First and foremost, keep your cool. Sometimes a frustration break is in order...
The covers should pop right off. It may take little effort, and some finesse, but they will come. are you prying right in the front, facing you?

Secondly, what DLS set did you get? I used the Iridium 6.3 years ago. sweet sounding speakers, I must say.

Thats a good idea .Ill try again tomorrow

Model is R6.2 . They sound WAY better than the stock speakers . Tweeters are sweet . I also made some 3/4 mdf mounting rings and installed some dynamat . I couldnt get a wire thru to the door so I used the factory wiring and installed the crossovers in the door .
I experimented by covering the stock tweeters and the only thing I dont like with the new setup is that with the tweeters mounted on the doors pull the sound further left and right than the stock tweeters .
