For a change... I put in a Clarion nav unit...
Seems like most of you guys went with the Kenwoods, but I wanted a unit with a mostly empty face. I liked the look of this one, and took a shot.
Clarion NZ509 I'm still waiting on a part for the sat radio, and got the back-up camera today so I'll be installing that stuff shortly. Sorry for the flash... my wife's crappy little camera wouldn't focus without it. Thanks to Matt and the other guys who have posted DIY info... it was VERY helpful. Main menu Nav map |

Use the bracket from the factory.
Sirius is now hooked up, and it works great on the NZ509. Didn't have time for the camera so that's my last piece of the puzzle, and the one I'm most curious about. Guess I'll "see" in the near future. BTW, if you are interested in using your phone with your head unit this model may not be a good fit. From what I can tell it uses a generic adapter that's a little larger than the sat antenna, and it's not attractive. Someone with more knowledge of those things might have more info... I wasn't interested in that. |

You will prob have a gap tho, I'll prob buy the metra kit just so it fits in flush. Your Nav looks good, but I'll still go with the kenwood cus of the volume knob being alil quicker & easier to use.

Instead of just sticking the Nav in where the stock radio is, the metra kit is kinda like an adapter so the Nav unit sits more flush with less of a gap. Link: The Z Store! Nissan-Datsun 240Z-260Z-280Z-280ZX-300ZX(Z31/Z32)-350Z-370Z Parts: Aftermarket Radio Face Plate, 2009 370Z
