^^haha...
AEM is a good alternative as well as K&N panel filters plus HPS post MAF hoses. Whatever suits your fancy. I say if you like it, go for it.

Hey dude, Maybe you or someone can help me out? I am freak'n confused and hesitating about getting an intake at all, especially at $400+. I have been looking through this forum site and You Tube, the gains are generally at 7k+ rpm and not very much hp gain at that (5 to 12 hp). I fail to see the benefit of upgrading intakes (other than engine sound). I am a click away from buying the Injen SP 1989, and can't see the justification vs. gain to do so? Also, my thought was to get the Weapon R and modify the tubing downward like the Injen and use the Weapon R filter and save $150+. I just know me, I would piss nails if I spend all that money and feel little gains or loose mass low end torque, am I just freak'n out?

i wouldn't chance it with there being so many other proven winners here on the boards, ex. Stillen/Injen/AEM long tubes or even the hugely popular HPS post MAF tubes with K&N drop in filters. Either of these would work for you very well and all have a proven track record.
Just a side note, Ive never had a great experience with weapon R. Cheap stuff IMO.

You're not going to feel anything with an intake. But combine it with exhaust and a tune and you will. Gotta pay to play!

Greetings. I just purchased my first Z and I love it! I'm considering making some minor modifications to increase the performance and fuel mileage. Been reading much about intake systems. I would appreciate some comments/feedback about the different systems available that won't break the bank. Thanks!
