Right now I'm starting to plan out how I want to go about the upcoming year. I'll continue using my stock Potenza S001's for the next few Spring/Summer months and will possibly consider all-seasons for Fall/Winter. Kind of leaning towards Continental ExtremeContact DWS 06's. Anyone have any experience with them in their Z? |

I run Continental ExtremeContact DWS 06's and love them so far. Put on about 10K miles in the past 6 months with them so far and best winter tire I have ever used. On dry days they don't have the traction of the NT05Rs and P Zero's I was running the last two summers, but still great enough for all year use. If you have the funds to get a dedicated set of summer tires I would do that and get the DWS 06's for the other 9 months of the year. The grip on summer tires is impossible to match on true all weather tires.

That's great feedback, thanks! Yeah, I'm definitely planning on buying a separate set of wheels and tires to switch out when the weather changes. Most people online recommend getting dedicated Winter tires like Blizzaks, but knowing our weather I feel like that wouldn't be very applicable since we barely get snow. I just need something to give me more traction throughout icy mornings or rainy winter days.
Good to know that the Continental tires are good to go. |

On my second set of DWS'. They run quiet and grip well for an all season tire.
Ran the DWs before that and they are an awesome rain tire.

I've had dws for about 4 or so years. I got it because the z is my daily and if it snows I still have to go to work. I can get around in the snow but there's the possibility of getting stuck if I stop on an incline. Don't kid yourself and think you can make it up hills though.
