Are you receiving tons of notification and subscription emails from The370Z? (AK370Z)
 

Please DO NOT Panic! Everything is under control. :tup:

As you know, I had to install a email mod on December 25th. But upon installing the mod, I couldn't configure it correctly. So, as a result, we had almost 32,500+ emails queued up in our system in last 14 days. Last night, after (a good nap and) some research, I was able to come up with the correct setting. Not only this setting will work perfectly in the future, but it will also clear up our existing email queue.

It will take at least 3 days to send all those 32,500+ emails. Please note, these emails are dated from 12.25.09 to 1.10.10. Once all these emails are sent, our email system will go back to it's regular sending schedule.

just got my first email from the forum in awhile and also forum seems to be running faster now! :excited:

Mine are still flooding in as of this morning, even after making sure I didn't auto-subscribe. I was wondering why I wasn't getting updates for a while. Good to know what's really going on. ^_^

I changed my setting yesterday and woke up with 30 new emails on my phone :)

cant wait for it to die down haha

Yup... only 20 hours and 9000 emails left. Once these are out, everything will be back to normal

Thanks but we did NOT move to the new server yet. Planning on Wednesday night (late night when everyone is sleep). This way you don't get too much of a downtime.

i'm getting a ton of PM notification emails. sometimes when i don't have a PM.

Have you received ANY pm from 12.26.09 to 1.11.10? If yes, then those are pm notifications from those days. I think right now it's sending out 1.08.10 notifications. We are down to 7300 emails now from 32,600! :tiphat:

I got 6 notifications today.

Ugh, I've deleted more emails in the last two days than I've deleted in the last 6 months. I'm getting about 50 a day.

Ive actually had people complain about my phone's notification noise for incoming emails. Its still the stock "DROID!" noise - the ONLY sound I haven't changed...

spear, think of it as a patient that came in through the ER with complains of constipation for last 12 days(12/29/09-1.10.10) and impacted bowel. You ordered oil or fleet enema. Then the patient has been using the bathroom for 3 days. Well ...... today is the third day! :inoutroflpuke:

I was hoping the forum would get a little faster if it didn't have to spew as much e-mail, but I'm sure things will be great on the new server.

It just suddenly got 10x better, so I guess I was a few minutes premature. :)
