Ams inc aston martin dream car garage pt 1
Since our inception we have been servicing and modifying Nissan/Infiniti's flagship vehicles. What some may not be aware of is our AMS INC. Luxury Division which caters to some of the industries prestige marques. Our new web-site will showcase the various corporate rides, aftermarket parts and industry happenings amongst other things:
We were in talks earlier in the year about an appearance on Dream Car Garage: Dream Car Garage - Home of the Legendary Collection -Welcome to Dream Car Garage! In this thread we will cover the mods prior to the filming. The episode just aired recently and we will have the video in another thread. Our goals with the AMS INC. Project DB9 were to enhance the performance and sound first as the body lines are near perfect from the box. We contacted our friends over at RSC Tuning for some parts: Racing Sport Concepts The parts ordered were: -high flow cats -exhaust -custom ecu reflash (2 x ecus) -hi-flow air filter cartridges We would also have the calipers refinished locally by our colleagues at Custom Coaches: main page The calipers would be re-finished in another colour and with the Aston Emblem incorporated in the finish. Some shots of the Aston on the hoist and underside: http://i139.photobucket.com/albums/q...img_0485-1.jpg http://i139.photobucket.com/albums/q...7/IMG_0672.jpg http://i139.photobucket.com/albums/q...img_0473-0.jpg Here are some pictures of the performance parts: Air Filter Cartridges are located on either side of the front(stock is yellow) http://i139.photobucket.com/albums/q...img_0139-0.jpg http://i139.photobucket.com/albums/q...img_0138-0.jpg http://i139.photobucket.com/albums/q...img_0127-0.jpg http://i139.photobucket.com/albums/q...img_0140-0.jpg Next the ECUs (the DB9 has two ecus in the V12) were removed and shipped out for re-flashing. Also located under the fender liner on either side: http://i139.photobucket.com/albums/q...img_0090-0.jpg http://i139.photobucket.com/albums/q...img_0088-0.jpg http://i139.photobucket.com/albums/q...img_0143-0.jpg http://i139.photobucket.com/albums/q...img_0124-1.jpg Next up were the high flow cats and exhaust: http://i139.photobucket.com/albums/q...img_0042-2.jpg http://i139.photobucket.com/albums/q...img_0058-1.jpg http://i139.photobucket.com/albums/q...img_0069-0.jpg http://i139.photobucket.com/albums/q...img_0052-1.jpg Comparison of stock cat (left) and Hi-flow (right): http://i139.photobucket.com/albums/q...img_0076-1.jpg Next the calipers had to be removed in order to coat them a custom red colour and get the graphics affixed: http://i139.photobucket.com/albums/q...img_0099-0.jpg http://i139.photobucket.com/albums/q...img_0095-0.jpg http://i139.photobucket.com/albums/q...img_0093-0.jpg http://i139.photobucket.com/albums/q...img_0119-1.jpg Finished product looks stunning: http://i139.photobucket.com/albums/q...img_0168-1.jpg http://i139.photobucket.com/albums/q...img_0167-0.jpg http://i139.photobucket.com/albums/q...img_0169-0.jpg After the installs the car exhibited a pronounced growl and was more responsive throughout.
