yeah the sites are pretty easy to understand. I think e-trade has 60 days of commission free trades so you have a bit more freedom in making moves and not paying the $10 commission on each buy/sell.
Understanding what to invest in and how to study companies and take chances on speculative companies is much much harder. You can be safe with large companies and not lose too much money and you will most likely make some. But the smaller riskier plays will make you more.
I really do suggest watch Jim Cramers show on cnbc. He at least explains how to look at companies and the market in general. I dont suggest taking all his advice but he does make it kinda simple.
