V1 and V2 was a very nice and subtle add ons for 350z. I am trying find out more info on how this crazy rev matching manual transmission would work. How do you think the car will sense if you're downshifting to 5th or 4th gear from 6th gear? Maybe some kind of "rev initiating" clip before each gear???  |
If you look at the fourth picture it shows the shift knob moving back and forth. It also says BMW z4, which is really weird, but thats beside the point.
Anyways, the shift knob looks like if you move it to the left in neutral, the car will initiate a downshift. If you move it to the right, the car will initiate an upshift.
The mechanism is the direction the shift knob moves while it is in neutral.
That's my guess.
