Back when I was in HS I had an auto crafts teacher who had us restoring a 1940s Ford and one of the projects was installing a rear-facing washer jet that aimed backwards and would spray tailgaters. He had me rig up a seperate reservoir and pump which was filled with anti-freeze. Apparently, this stuff just smears on the windsheild.
