"Eye for an eye", whether justified or not, can turn into a road rage situation. I know people who've had guns pulled on them. I am much more passive on the road when I can help it. Sometimes my temper gets the better of me, but you have to keep things in perspective. Are you safe? Is your vehicle damaged? Are you endangering others?
I'm not saying I wouldn't have done the same thing you did in that situation. I'm sure I would on a bad day. Just saying that it bears some risk.

Yeah, there was a situation here a while back where road rage turned into a gunfight in the middle of traffic. All because someone got cut off. I try my best just to forgive and move on right away.
