FWIW i run 7.9xx 8th mile
seriously 8.8 i descent, i would suggest lowering the rear tire pressure to around 25psi, pull out the brake light fuse. This allows you to do a little burn out. hold revs around 4k ish release clutch aggressively. Yes i power shift

How do you run 7.9**??? And what does brake light fuse have to do with anything????
