Goddam time difference. I'm trying to leave work early to watch the AC Milan game today. But no matter which way you slice it, this has been a f'ed up transaction and GTM did not make it right the way they should have. And again, this is basic human nature and it happens in the business world all the time. They already have his $8000. He's now on the back burner. Hell, his kit could have had anthrax in it and they wouldn't care, especially if they have a showroom full of customers looking to drop thousands of dollars on parts and installation in their Cali shop. It's always about the next customer. His money is already in their pockets! Even if they did the right thing and sent him a brand new kit and ate the shipping charge they still wouldn't take a huge financial hit, and it's an investment in customer satisfaction. Look what happened to Stillen. They used to be untouchable for Nissan parts. Now, for whatever reason, their reputation is dwindling fast. Lack of attention to detail, fitment issues on parts, being drastically outperformed by competitors, etc. It all starts with that initial "I don't give a sh!t" attitude. Ask anyone who's been in business for a long time and has been successful. Their day to day lives are not fun. It's hard work making sure things run smoothly. It's hard work when you actually care about the customers. Not demonizing anyone, just telling it like it is.
