A lot of these comments make me wonder why you own a 370Z instead of a horse.
By the way, Nissan comes out with a new model Z every year, why aren't you buying it instead of riding around in last year's junk that doesn't even have a compass?
The iPad is an in-between device, like my boss said, it is second best at a lot of things - but having the second best web browser, the second best eBook reader, the second best GPS, the second best spreadsheet editor, photo viewer, game player with you is pretty convenient.
And don't fool yourself, it is going to be a heavy business device. We have physician using them for medical records access, radilogy imaging access and dictation. We have employees using them for remote desktop control, accessing corporate systems. We have them syncing to corporate email. The Xoom will need another version to catch up with the iPad 1. And a lot more developer action. Right now e Xoom doesn't do flash and it's SD card slot doesn't work, so I don't think it is an iPad beater.
More importantly, like a recent TUAW story, if you are picking your tablet based on specs, you're doing it wrong. Otherwise you'd be driving a STi or GTI or Mustang 5.0, Corvette or Cayman, depending on which specs you like - the 370Z is like an iPad - second best at a lot of things, and that makes it a winner.
