I've seen them decrease the number of points, give Probation Before Judgment, and throw the case out if the officer isn't there on the first appearance. My mom got a speeding ticket and rescheduled the court date. On the rescheduled date, the officer didn't show up so it was thrown out. How long do accidents/tickets stay on your record and affect your insurance? I have a ticket from 2.5 years ago and an accident last year.
