You can paint the rotors...HOWEVER...you do it where the brake pads dont touch the rotor..say the center hub part and the outer end of the rotor where the cooling fins are. Believe me...I do custom calipers and brakes locally. Nice idea...but he will have braking issues until that is cooked off.
