No kidding. I don't think they actually expected it to perform but sales wise, yeah. They should have released it with at least a 160 hp gas motor.
That said, I see some advantage to having a hybrid ASSIST gas motor. Tack on an extra 50 hp on demand to a 330 hp plus motor and I'd sign up. Depends on how much weight is added. A hybrid-on-demand system wouldn't require as many batteries (weight) as a hybrid like the CR-Z would.
Diesel, no thanks.
Personally, I think this Z car mock up looks fantastic.

Hybrids do have manual transmissions...TRUE manual transmissions and no just flappy paddles.
So thats not an issue fellas.
