I am not sure where the cabin filter assembly is located on the vehicle but a air leak may exhibit noises in the same area. Have you tried taking the glove box out and listening? I am sure there is usually a clip or restriction of some type that limits it's range of motion, take it off and see if the sounds can be better identified.

How about some rep?

We don't need nissan to fix this, there are a lot more heads in this forum than they have on salary. Just take it step by step.
While I agree that we have more heads and could figure it out I don't think I should have to . I work 50-60 hours a week running a business and the last thing I want to do is go home, dismantle my new car, and tinker around. If I wanted to do that I would have bought a Ford or GM.

BTW my car is a Touring with navigation.
