You'll get used to it. Use the rear wheel well to judge side distance through your side mirrors. Have those side mirrors adjusted to see as far out the sides as possible, yet still able to track something from the rearview mirror to side mirror seamlessly. The back up cam will come in really handy though...I installed mine over Christmas, and will try it out come spring.
