Well maybe I'm somewhat wrong. But this makes since per Josh at Stillen.

I'll be honest, most enthusiasts shoot for ~30,000 miles, but you can always clock the filters every 6 months, airflow always seems to follow a pattern, and certain areas will see more flow. So by moving them a bit, you'll get the same filtration, without having to clean/recharge them.
