If you're going to be modding a car, then the value proposition of the nismo is undoubtedly lessened. It gets worse if you plan on replacing any suspension components.
However, there exist sporting events where aftermarket modifications are penalized, such as autocrossing. You start messing with things like wheel widths, and you'll find yourself outclassed very quickly.
The nismo is a perfect candidate for somebody like that; its better prepped than a normal 370, and yet the owner is not subject to any classificiation penalties. Makes sense to me.
