my parents raised me and my brother and always had sedans. never a station wagon, suv, crossover, minivan etc. I think generally, nowadays parents tote a lot more sh1t around for their kids. I see lots of people getting 2 SUV's so that way they have 2 vehicles that can each transport the entire family, which in and of itself, makes no sense. If one vehicle is gone, then obviously the whole family isn't there. i dont get it.

but more to the point. EVO is not a good family car. yes it has 4 doors and a back seat, but you're kid isn't gonna be falling asleep too easily when you go for a drive. you're ognna take a huge hit switching from one new car to another. Instead of spending 10k on depreciation, spend 10-15k on a used mid-full size sedan. even an altima should be fine. you can get a 2.5s altima sedan from 2007 for probably like 14-15k depending on mileage/condition. and you're not looking for a picture perfect car. its transportation. if it has a scuff or two it doesnt matter.
