I like the Flinstone analogy. I'm going to add it to my Big Wheel tire comparison.

OP, I put Hankook Ventus A4 all season's on for the fall and winter because I was getting nothing by wheel spin with the stock tires when temps were in the 40's (keep in mind, the stock tires were 18" Yokohamas).
