I would not classify the E92 M3 as a track car; it does have power and gets good times (like the 5.0), but it is not a track car, nor the 5.0; they happen to be cars that can go fast around a track (just like the CTVS or M5). Both of those cars are GTs; they have a degree of power, but are too heavy, long, or not enough power to be 'track cars'. Z06s, GTRs, GT3s; those are track cars. I would still take a 1M coupe, 370z, Cayman S, TTRS to the track over a 5.0 or M3, better yet a Z06, GTR, or GT3!!!! The M3 and 5.0 are fast GT cars on the track, but not track cars.
