Hawaii Lemon Law says
Quote:
by repairing or correcting any defect or condition which substantially impairs the use, market value, or safety of the motor vehicle after a reasonable number of documented attempts

so TPMS could reasonably fall under this law (why do we have it if it isn't needed for safety?). Your car definitely doesn't have to stop running to be a lemon.
A reasonable number is 3 attempts. OTOH, your recourse under lemon law is a replacement or a refund minus a "reasonable offset" for your use amounting to 1% per thousand miles, so it may be just too much hassle for a TPMS issue.
I would suggest trying to get your warranty extended and realize this will be a small issue if you keep the car a reasonable time.
