Noise Reduction in the Z34
370Z car is now a primary focus for
Nissan engineers. Due to rising complaints from internet-based communities such as
the370z.com, Nissan engineers have put research and development of oil coolers and brake ducts on hold. They are focusing energy and resources on developing sound deadening technologies that they claim will make the cabin of the brand's aggressive two-seater sports car as quiet as the back seat of
The Queen of England's Bentley limousine. Inside sources say that Nissan is partnering with acclaimed audio components manufacturer,
Bose, to incorporate their patented
noise-canceling technology into the Z car's on-board entertainment system. Also working on the project is
Dynamic Control, the developer of
Dynamat, the visco-elastic film that promotes vibro-acoustic energy conversion.
Other technologies in development include Nissan logo earplugs, discounts on Nissan's luxury-oriented Infinity G37 and cheese to go with that whine.
