What you seem to be talking about is 5-60. Stock, the 370Z is tested to do 5-60 in about 5.8-5.9 seconds.

All too often people get caught up in 0-60 and don't stop and realise that this is with a pro driver and a 3 or 4000rpm clutch drop, feathering the cluth/throttle.

You aren't likely to do this on the street nearly as often as a quick romp from the bottom of first.

When I wonder about a car's "real world" performance, I just google the C&D 5-60 test for that car. It's an eye-opener, and it seems to correlate VERY well to how the car feels on the street after you get past all the magazine-racer BS.
